Position Research Scholar, Program on Science and Global Security Bio/Description Bruce Blair is a research scholar at Princeton University in the Program on Science and Global Security. As co-founder of the Global Zero movement, Blair is a strong advocate for the elimination of nuclear weapons. Blair served on the U.S. Secretary of State’s International Security Advisory Board from 2011 to 2017. He also served as a senior fellow in the Foreign Policy Studies Program at the Brookings Institution and as a project director at the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment. In addition, Blair served as a Minuteman ICBM launch control officer in the U.S. Air Force and as a support officer for the Airborne Command Post of the Strategic Air Command.
