Blue Carlsson (they/them) is enrolled Cherokee with Kiowa, Shawnee, and Lenape heritage. They study Environmental Engineering with a focus on water treatment and bioremediation, and are currently researching ways to combat PFAS ("forever chemical") contamination. After graduation, they plan to work with Native tribes to improve water treatment and drinking water access in rural areas.

Outside the classroom, Blue is a member of Natives at Princeton and its sub-group, Queer Natives.
