John Wheeler Interview 1965

This interview with John Wheeler begins with a discussion of Wheeler’s collaboration with Niels Bohr at the University of Copenhagen and their research on theories of fission and the liquid drop model. Wheeler discusses his time as an Assistant Professor of Physics at Princeton University and his experiences working on the Manhattan Project at the Metallurgical Laboratory and at Hanford. Wheeler also discusses his involvement in designing the B Reactor, which was commissioned to produce Plutonium 239 for the Manhattan Project.
